What is This Blog

This weblog is written by an Urban Studies enthusiast. Every now and then I’ll use this blog to report on my research activities and publications. Most of the time I’ll be using this ‘space’ to propagate interesting things on urban studies that I find on the web. By “interesting things” I mean a wide range of issues. These are some of the Key Urban Issues in my research interests:

urban mobility, daily commuting, spatial mismatch
urban form, urban structure, urban density, spatial segregation
configurational analyses and spatial syntax
urban sociology, Brazilian development
aging population, demographic transition, demographic projections
databases, research methodologies, statistics,
visualizing complexity, cartography, GIS (Geographic Information System), etc.

As you see, I’m thinking a research agenda that, so far, is too wide. This is a way that I found to organize the ideas and share some questions and useful information. That's why I’m starting this blog.

Ps. Most of the time, I’ll try to post in English.
